China's Central Government recognizes this and is working to improve the rural land registration system across China. Landesa is partnering with the government to ensure that this system documents the land rights of both men and women farmers. A New Nationwide Survey Underway on Chinese Farmers' Land Rights
Farmer bringing in her harvest in Rural China Landesa's China program is teaming up again with China's Renmin University and Michigan State University to conduct another nationwide survey on farmers' land rights, which is the sixth in the series. The survey covers 17 major agricultural provinces in China based on interviews with more than 2,000 farm families across rural China. Learn more

NALSAR and RDI-India Establish Center for Land Rights in Andhra Pradesh, India 
Center for Land Rights at NASLAR University of Law in Andhra Pradesh, India To address the lack of implementation, assistance and even awareness of land laws for rural families in India, the state government of Andhra Pradesh, NALSAR University of Law, and Landesa's partner in India, RDI, are establishing a Center for Land Rights at NALSAR's campus in Hyderabad. Learn more

Jennifer Change, E-LibrarianJennifer Chang is in charge of creating and maintaining the world's first digital library of international legal information on women's land rights, which will empower policymakers, researchers, legal practitioners, and women's advocates to strengthen women's land rights around the world through access to relevant and reliable information. Ms. Chang has extensive research and library experience within academic and law firm libraries as well as with the Brookings Institution where she researched a variety of policy issues related to Northeast Asia.
