Who We Are

Back to Program Leadership

Niketa Kulkarni Sr. Research and Evaluation Specialist

Why I am passionate about Landesa’s mission:

Securing rights to land is a critical component to ensure a sustainable economic and social enhancement of women’s lives.  But it’s not one that is easy to attain. Rather, it requires careful coordination between various stakeholders and acknowledgment of often competing interests, and perhaps most importantly, rigorously collected data about the potential and actual effects of land tenure reform on the communities who arguably stand to lose the most.

Niketa is a Senior Research and Evaluation Specialist, and focuses on developing robust insights about Landesa’s impact to both improve program effectiveness and enhance knowledge about the importance of women’s land rights.  Niketa brings eight years of experience in international development, advanced skills in field-based research and analytical methods, and a deep passion for access to justice and sociolegal issues.  She has travelled extensively for her work, and feels most inspired when personally interacting with the direct or potential beneficiaries of the programs she is evaluating.
