March 4, 2026 at Benaroya Hall, Seattle
Join us for an inspiring evening celebrating International Women’s Day and the Year of the Woman Farmer. Enjoy a thought-provoking panel featuring Landesa’s experts on land, gender, and climate, along with complimentary food, an open bar, and live musical performances. Gather with partners, supporters, and community members to explore solutions shaping a more just and sustainable future.
This year’s event takes place at a new venue, Benaroya Hall, with Angela Poe Russell as emcee. The evening features live music from Seattle-based Kenyan American singer-songwriter Naomi Wachira, a Wo’Pop DJ set from KEXP’s Jyoti B Fly, and live screen printing with Experience Research Lab. In place of a traditional photo booth, guests can enjoy professional headshots—bring friends or colleagues and leave with a fresh new photo.
Come connect, learn, and be part of this meaningful and celebratory gathering—we’re excited to share it with you.
Seed the Change 2025 Recap

A huge thank you from all of us at Landesa for the incredible support and enthusiasm at Seed the Change 2025! The event was a tremendous success, and we were honored to share powerful stories of how secure land rights are transforming lives around the world.
Together, we accomplished something incredible. With help from our event sponsors, attendee contributions, and Julia Quinn’s amazing $100,000 surprise gift, we raised over $408,000 for Landesa! These funds will go directly toward advancing women’s land rights around the world—creating real, lasting change for families and communities.
Check out our short film, The Land is Our Mother, that premiered at the event. The film spotlights Northern Vision—an inspiring community-based organization in rural Kenya and a key partner in the Stand for Her Land Kenya Coalition. We were especially honored to feature Zamzam Bonaya, executive director of Northern Vision, as a speaker at Seed the Change.
