Why I am passionate about Landesa’s mission:
I am particularly passionate about our multi-stakeholder approach towards collaboration (with governments, communities, civil society organizations, private sector, etc.) and our multi-faceted approach towards implementation (law and policy design, direct implementation, research, advocacy, capacity strengthening, etc.). This comprehensive approach puts Landesa in a unique position to deliver transformative change and meaningfully address pressing global challenges like global poverty, food insecurity, climate change and gender inequality.
About John
John McWeeney is an established non-profit leader with significant experience securing resources for impact-driven organizations. As Chief Development Officer, he provides overall direction and guidance for the execution of public and private fundraising efforts across Landesa. He serves on the Executive Leadership Team and manages the Resource Development and Communications team which develops and executes multi-year strategies that sustain and expand Landesa’s impact in communities around the world.
