Seed the Change 2025 Recap

Image

A huge thank you from all of us at Landesa for the incredible support and enthusiasm at Seed the Change 2025! The event was a tremendous success, and we were honored to share powerful stories of how secure land rights are transforming lives around the world.

Together, we accomplished something incredible. With help from our event sponsors, attendee contributions, and Julia Quinn’s amazing $100,000 surprise gift, we raised over $408,000 for Landesa! These funds will go directly toward advancing women’s land rights around the world—creating real, lasting change for families and communities.

Check out our short film, The Land is Our Mother, that premiered at the event. The film spotlights Northern Vision—an inspiring community-based organization in rural Kenya and a key partner in the Stand for Her Land Kenya Coalition. We were especially honored to feature Zamzam Bonaya, executive director of Northern Vision, as a speaker at Seed the Change.
