Land is foundational to the livelihoods and culture of billions of people around the world as well as an essential solution for global climate action. A just and climate secure future requires us to use this resource sustainably while safeguarding the tenure rights of those who rely on land to survive.

Representatives from Landesa, the Stand for Her Land (S4HL) Secretariat and S4HL national coalitions are at COP30 in Belém, Brazil, from Nov. 10-21 to ensure that secure land rights are on the agenda of governments, policymakers, and other key stakeholders during this critical moment for climate justice.

Rio Conventions Advocacy Resources

Women play a critical role in land and natural resource management. Stand for Her Land has developed a set of tools and resources designed to raise awareness of entry points for women’s land rights advocacy across the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, and the UN Convention on Biological Diversity.
