The application process for the 2014 Visiting Professionals Program is now open until February 14. Please use this link to apply. The program begins with a six-week period of intense training, mentoring, and sharing with land tenure experts at Landesa’s main office in Seattle, Washington. Visiting professionals from India, China, and East Africa will have the opportunity to enhance their understanding of women’s land rights and improve their effectiveness by strengthening their leadership, managerial, and communication skills.

Landesa Training Aims to Raise Awareness of Land Policy Among Journalists
Michuzi — In an effort to increase media awareness and participation in land management and development in the country, Landesa has started a special training for journalists on Tanzania's updated Land Policy.
Landesa's Masalu Luhula said the main objective of the training is to enable journalists to understand the changes made in the policy and its impact on society, and to build their capacity to report professionally on issues of land rights, ownership, and gender equality in land use.
