January 24, 2014 — The Government of Odisha announced this week that with the help of Landesa, it will expand the Women’s Support Center program into a fourth district, Kalahandi district. The Women Support Center program is designed to help single women and women-headed households benefit from government services including land titling programs as well as social security entitlements and agricultural and employment services. Women Support Centers are already operating in Ganjam district, Mayurbhanj and Koraput districts. The roll out to Kalahandi district will bring the total number of Centers in the state to 76.
