Land Tenure & Payment for Environmental Services: Opportunities and Challenges for REDD+ (via FAO Land Tenure Journal)

DECEMBER 2011 — The thematic issue of the Land Tenure Journal on climate change has been published online – just in time for the 2011 COP 17 of Durban. This article looks at the implications that REDD+ and Payments for Environmental Services pose to land tenure and administration. This was written by Landesa staff Anna Knox, Cynthia Caron, and Jonathan Miner, as well as independent consultant, Allyson Goldstein. The article is part of a thematic issue of the FAO Land Tenure Journal, which brings together theories and practices related to land tenure and climate change both from the mitigation and adaptation perspectives.
