Rangita de Silva de Alwis Associate Dean of International Affairs, University of Pennsylvania Law School
Rangita de Silva de Alwis is the Associate Dean of International Affairs at University of Pennsylvania Law School and a Global Advisor to the UN Sustainable Development Goals Fund. Previously, she served as the inaugural director of the Global Women’s Leadership Initiative and the Women in Public Service Project launched by Secretary Hillary Clinton and the Seven Sisters Colleges at Wellesley College. Rangita is an international women’s human rights scholar and practitioner with over 25 years of experience working in over 25 countries with a vast network of academic institutions, government, and nongovernment entities on women’s human rights law, policy-making and institutional reform. Rangita has a LL.M and S.J.D. from Harvard Law School.
