Luciana Aquino-Hagedorn, JD Senior Fellow, Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment, Columbia University
Luciana Aquino-Hagedorn is a global lawyer and strategic advisor with almost 20 years of combined major law firm and in-house experience. She is a Senior Fellow at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment, Columbia University. From 2015 to 2020, she was a partner at Goodwin Procter, LLP, where she founded and co-led the Impact and Responsible Investing Practice. Prior to that, she was a Senior Vice President Natural Resources at Harvard Management Company, Inc. She also previously worked as a foreign associate for Linklaters in New York City and began her legal career at Le Pera & Lessa in Buenos Aires.
Aquino-Hagedorn is passionate about creating positive social and environmental change through innovation, now focused on angel investing and the study of the theory and practice of impact and sustainable investing. She is highly knowledgeable in legal and operational aspects of US and international investments, including many in emerging markets such as Latin America, Africa and Eastern Europe. She has a J.D. from Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
