Wael Zakout Former World Bank Senior Technical Advisor and Global Lead for Land and Geospatial

Dr. Wael Zakout is the former World Bank Senior Technical Advisor and Global Lead for Land and Geospatial. Dr. Zakout’s career at the World Bank spanned over 28 years (1994-2022) and he held several key positions in East Asia, Europe, Central Asia, Middle East, and North Africa regions and worked extensively on land policy and governance programs in more than 30 countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Russia, Turkey, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Kuwait, just to name a few.  Dr. Zakout has a PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in civil and environmental engineering focusing on geomatics and land policy.
