Land rights for 200 million families in China
Landesa is working with the Chinese government to ensure that all of the country’s 200 million farming families have secure land tenure. Only about half of China’s farmers have received legal documents they need to formalize their land rights, and women’s rights are rarely documented, making farm families vulnerable to land takings.
