NDTV, one of India’s largest English-language television channels, just released a documentary program on women’s land rights in India. The program, “India Matters: In My Own Name,” examines how customary practices still impede women’s rights to land and inheritance despite legal reforms that guarantee gender equality. The program highlights Landesa’s partnership with the government of Odisha to empower single women with land rights.
